Jon Dondoneau is a highly accomplished driver education instructor known for his calm, supportive teaching style and commitment to student success. Certified through Minot State University, he brings extensive experience in both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training, with a strong focus on safety, confidence-building, and real-world decision-making. Jon is also a leader in the field, contributing to driver education at both the state and national levels through his professional service and advocacy.

I'm an instructor with a passion for helping new drivers build confidence and feel comfortable behind the wheel. I believe learning to drive should be a positive, supportive experience, and I enjoy tailoring each lesson to fit the student's pace and personality. Outside of work, I work in healthcare administration and enjoy staying active, spending time with friends and family, checking out local events, and making the most of any change to get outside - especially at the lake!

Hello! I am one of the contracted driving instructors for Elite Steering Driving School. I am a Physical Education teacher in West Fargo and have taught Driver Education in both ND and MN. I received his Driver Education Instructor Certification through Minnesota State University - Mankato.

I am a 1992 graduate of Minot State University with a major in physical education and minors in history and driver and traffic safety education. I have been a classroom teacher for 31 years. I currently teach Pre-K through 12 Physical Education and Health at Litchville-Marion Public Schools. I also teach summer driver education for Valley City Public Schools. In addition to my teaching duties, I also drive school activities for Valley City Public Schools and I officiate high school football, basketball and fastpitch softball. I am a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City, and I have previously served as President of the TLC Endowment Committee.
I have been married to my wife Rebecca for 20 years. We have a son Kellen (18) and a daughter Cambrie (14).
In the area of driver education, I have served two previous terms as President of the NDDTSEA. I was part of the team that helped develop the North Dakota Driver Risk Prevention Curriculum Playbook. I have always had a desire to teach driver education because every novice driver deserves every chance we can offer them to help them become safe, defensive drivers for their entire life.
